Ranem Church



The large church in Overhalla town centre celebrated its 800-year anniversary in 1987. It was built in the Roman style of granite on a marble foundation, with a wooden roof and tower. The church has a very distinct and beautiful alter piece from 1678, which was the only structure that could be saved during a fire in 1899. Meticulous efforts are now being made to restore the church to the style it had prior to the fire. Partially open during summer.
